Rio Mursinna
Brought his expertise in hydrology to the city’s problems with clean water. Laid the groundwork for a year of harvest, established a water capture system, and began the greenhouse, which now feeds the school and doubles as a training ground for the students.

Co-founder of The Art and Wilderness Institute in California, who now sponsor the hostel. Before she arrived her AWI community had already raised funds for new shoes for every student, and sourced materials to bring environmental science into the curriculum.
